Freeride
"The essence of Freeriding has roots that extend far beyond the shores of British Columbia. As some Freeriders have explained it, Freeriding is more than just riding frightfully narrow log bridges and doing 10-foot wheelie drops. It's about hanging with your friends and doing stuff on a bike that pushes the limits of both yourself and your bike.

The Portes-du-Soleil contains 11 permanent downhill tracks, graded using a colour coding system; blue, red, black (although don't worry, there are by-passes for the trickiest sections!).
With one lift pass you can have access to the famous Mont Chery run (World Cup 2002 & World Championships 2004), the free ride Morgins run, the Super Châtel Danger H, or the Pleney permanent downhill leading into Morzine town centre. The full list of permanent Downhill courses is below:
