Walking in the Alps

Portes du Soleil

Morzine is part of the Portes du Soleil region of France which covers the well known biking resort of Les Gets, along with Avoriaz and Chatel in France and Morgins and Champery in Switzerland. Our biking also extends into the Grand Massif ski areas of Samoens and Flaine and sometimes even further a field to Chamonix.

Travel

Flying

Geneva is the closest international airport to Morzine and a number of airlines fly from the UK several times a day.

Most of our guests fly with www.Easyjet.com. They have daily flights form Bristol, Belfast, East Midlands, Gatwick, Luton, Liverpool and Newcastle.

British Airways and Swiss also have daily flights from London and Manchester.

Geneva airport is a mere 75 minutes drive from Morzine making it one of the shortest and stress free transfers in the Alps. Our minibuses are fully licensed and insured and we also have a trailer for bikes and extra luggage!

The journey by road:

Morzine is 550 miles from Calais and the journey takes between 8 – 10 hours depending on stops. It’s a very easy trip, the motorway starts in Calais and finishes just 40 minutes from Morzine. French motorways are all toll roads and the return journey will cost approximately 60 euros. If you are considering driving we can offer very competitive ferry crossing with Sea France or Euro Tunnel. www.SpeedFerries.com offer a discount crossing but they only have limited crossings.

Should you decide to drive we will send you a comprehensive route pack for the journey.
